Vigil to “Extend the Olympic Truce. No War on North Korea,” on the sidewalk at 7th & Hamilton Sts., Allentown. Olympic Truce Vigils were called by Coalition for Peace Action in Princeton. The Stop the Wars Committee decided to join in with a local vigil. We will have signs and leaflets. The opening ceremony for Olympics will be on TV at 8 pm, Friday. While the President and our Pentagon threaten war against North Korea (and they do the same in return) it is important to know there are peace activists in South Korea working very hard to prevent war. And, S. Korea’s leaders seem to want talks not war. The people of the world through the United Nations have called for the historic Olympic Truce and the two Koreas will march into the games together. Please join in acting to see this Truce extended.
